SAXOCON is founded in October 2013 when entrepreneur Martin Friis-Mikkelsen and Technical University of Denmark (DTU) joins their forces.
In the beginning of 2013 Martin Friis-Mikkelsen meets the QSAR team from DTU Food for the first time whiles both parties attend the annual “Medico Bazar” hosted by DTU. The QSAR team is looking for the right entrepreneur who can bring to market their cutting edge technology and their world class scientific team who can analyze and interpret the QSAR data. For several years public authorities within Europe have benefited their expertise and now the commercial market should have access to this well proven and highly accepted technology.
On the other hand Martin had been contemplating for some time to become an entrepreneur and is now looking for the right case. He is adamant that the product or service has to be something that makes a real different for the customer and something where he can make a difference with his skills.
Martin’s professional background in IT-management, infrastructure development, system services, sales and strategic alliances, and academics, a BSc in Engineering and a Executive MBA, both from DTU is a perfect match with the QSAR team and in October 2013 SAXOCON is officially launched with Martin as CEO and both parties as shareholders.
