The OECD QSAR Toolbox is a software intended for governments, the chemical industry and other stakeholders. The purpose of this tool is to fill toxicity data gaps in order to assess the hazards of chemicals. The use of this tool is specifically described in the REACH regulation guidelines.
The OECD QSAR Toolbox allows for the assessment of toxicity while avoiding unnecessary in vivo testing. In addition to its use in REACH assessments, the OECD QSAR Toolbox is also highly useful for the biological evaluation of medical devices.
Another tool that SAXOCON uses is the “Danish (Q)SAR Database”. The scientists from Technical University of Denmark (DTU) that are part of our delivery organization have taken part in the development of the “Danish (Q)SAR Database”. The use of this database in combination with the OECD QSAR Toolbox provides a strong working tool for the assessment of your chemicals by SAXOCON experts.
